Communication and Computer Management, Inc. (CCMI) was established in 1990 as a Tandem consulting and network integration firm.  From its beginning CCMI forged strong relationships with Tandem Computers.  It partnered with both Tandem Integrated Engineering Services (TIES) and Tandem Federal to provide services to key Tandem customers.  In both partnership with Tandem and independently, CCMI provided enterprise level consulting services to organizations such as John Deere, the Chicago Board of Trade, Safeway Stores, Core States Bank, the U.S. Postal Service and U.S. Navy.  It specialized in the architecture and implementation of distributed and heterogeneous system solutions centered around the Tandem product line.  During this time CCMI became a Tandem Alliance member.

CCMI gained valuable knowledge and experience on three important operating system platforms: the Microsoft NT Server, the Sun Solaris Server and the NonStop Himalaya Server. This has allowed CCMI to be creative in providing solutions within diverse environments.  CCMI evolved from a Tandem centered solutions provider to a Microsoft solutions provider.

In July 1999 CCMI was awarded a GSA contract for Information Technology services.  This contract allowed CCMI to working directly with Government clients.  In 2000 CCMI became a Microsoft Certified Solutions Provider (MCSP).
